• 1 at Grade 3: 86% Solo Acting Distinction
• 1 at Grade 4: 80%Speaking Verse & Prose Distinction
• 1 at Grade 5: 81% Speaking in Public Distinction
• 1 at Grade 6 : 85% Speaking in Public Distinction Bronze Medal

Competition entries have now been made for this year’s Royal Wootton Bassett Arts Festival in The Speech & Drama Section which is to be held on 18 & 19 November at The RWB Academy at Lime Kiln. The Annual Highlights Concert of outstanding performances will be held at The Memorial Hall, Royal Wootton Bassett 2 February 2024. Doors open at 18:00 for “18:30 start. Tickets available.

A NEW FEATURE is the competition sponsored by The Western Players [Swindon’s oldest Drama Society]. It is to submit by 14 October 2023 an original script for a short Radio Play. It is possible that the Western Players may select an entry to be produced and broadcast on local radio. All entrants [open to all ages, groups ] receive an evaluative comment sheet, marks and the highest marks will reveal the overall winner(s) who will be presented with the Western Players’ Radio Play Trophy to hold for a year!
